4. Data collection in our app

4.1 Cookies

The app sometimes uses cookies. Cookies do not cause any harm to your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies are used to make our service more user-friendly, more effective and safer. Cookies are small text files which are stored on your device. Most of the cookies we use are “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us, for example, to retain your storage settings.

4.4    Storage duration

The data collected directly by us via the app is deleted from our systems as soon as the purpose for its storage no longer applies, you request us to erase it, you withdraw your consent to its storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies.

Stored cookies remain on your device until you delete them. Mandatory legal provisions – in particular, retention periods – remain unaffected.

4.5 Sharing of data with third parties

Data that has been recorded during the use of the app will only be transmitted to third parties if this is legally required, determined by a court decision or if the transmission is necessary for legal or criminal prosecution in the case of attacks on the Optigrün Internet infrastructure. Dissemination for other non-commercial or for commercial purposes does not take place.

5.1 Google Analytics

Google Analytics uses "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your device and enable an analysis of how you use the app. The information collected by the cookie on your use of this app is generally transmitted to a Google server in the US and stored there.

Google Analytics cookies are saved on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The publisher of the app has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both his web content and his advertising.

5.2 IP anonymisation

We have activated the IP anonymisation function in this app. This means Google will truncate your IP address within Member States of the European Union or in other countries that are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before transmission to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the entire address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the publisher of this app for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on app activity and providing the publisher of the app with other services relating to app usage and Internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your device within the context of Google Analytics will not be associated with any other data held by Google.
